Privacy Policy for Checkers & Chess

Checkers & Chess (“the App”, also listed as “Chess & Checkers: Duo Games”) works without an account and keeps your data on your device. This policy explains what is collected, why, and your rights under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, the CCPA/CPRA and similar laws.

1. Data on your device

Your games in progress, game statistics, puzzle progress and settings are stored only on your device. We do not have access to them. If you delete the App, this data is deleted with it.

2. Playing with a friend nearby

When you choose “Nearby” and create or find a game, the App uses Apple’s Multipeer Connectivity over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth to connect directly to the other iPhone or iPad. Only the moves of the game and your device name (as shown in iOS Settings → General → About → Name) are exchanged, encrypted, between the two devices. Nothing is sent to us or to any server. iOS asks for your permission to use the local network before the first connection.

3. Purchases

Subscriptions and purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles payment details; we never see your card number. The App reads your purchase status from Apple on your device to unlock Premium. See Apple’s privacy policy at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.

4. No analytics, no advertising, no tracking

The App contains no analytics or advertising SDKs, does not collect the advertising identifier (IDFA) and does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

5. Crash and diagnostic data

Apple may share aggregated crash and performance data with us if you have enabled “Share with App Developers” in your iOS settings. We use it only to fix bugs.

6. What we do not do

• We do not sell or share your personal information (as defined by the CCPA/CPRA).
• We do not use your data for advertising.
• We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Because your data never leaves your device, deleting the App deletes it. For anything else, email spiroboris91@icloud.com and we will respond within 30 days.

We will post any changes on this page and update the effective date.
